Information On the Webpage Itself

This webpage was created on a Pentium PC running a Linux operating system with Gnu tools. The HTML code was programmed by hand, as opposed to using an authoring tool environment such as Netscape Composer (not that there's anything wrong with that). The code was written using the XEmacs editor and was viewed on Netscape. All of the custom graphics (such as the ubiquitous "Miss Pearl" embossed background) except for the icons on the links page were created using the GIMP (Gnu Image Manipulation Program).

The author of the webpage, Dr. William Burkett, is an optical systems design engineer at Xtera Communications in Allen, TX.  Miss Pearl's Homepage is his second webpage creation.

Any comments, questions, or ideas concerning the webpage itself should be directed to

Sorry, he can't answer any questions about airplanes.
